So here at Method HQ we are surfing the heat wave, choking on ice cream far from the snow and all the homies, so we decided to give some fools a holler to see what they have been doing with their summer, or maybe even tell us a funny story or two. We call this I Know What You Did Last Summer, peep part 1 with Kalle Ohlson, Nick Visconti, Ana Rumiha, Roland Morley-Brown, Jessi Blackwell and Wojtek Pawlusiak.
Kalle Ohlson
"When summer started I was working on a mini park project called Blue Parks. Otherwise, I have been enjoying myself back home. I filmed at Folgefonna with the Random Bastards and had a blast cruising summer slush on the glacier. I went to Germany, then back home. A few days later I went to Austria to shoot the intro for the Pirates' new movie, Unique 8. Back home, then to Visby (an island in Sweden) for a week, had a real GOOD time, but left the island nursing a 5-day hangover and plan to never return! When I got home I worked some more on the Blue Parks project. Me and Sörman started planning Swedish hammer premieres for the Unique 8 movie. I got hooked on motocross and now I want to buy a bike, but where I can keep it and do I actually have time to ride it? Now it's the middle of August and we are actually having some of the best summer days here in Sweden, so I'm off to enjoy it while it lasts before we strap on that snowboard again!"Nick Visconti
"Amidst summer opportunities to snowboard the world's melting glaciers, I was able to go on an excursion to the Lost Continent. What I thought was going to be an African safari ended up being a human safari. Snowboarding has provided me with many once-in-a-lifetime experiences, all of which tend to alter my life for evermore; this experience with World Vision, a global humanitarian organization, proved no different!"
Ana Rumiha
"I've been cruising around Croatian islands on all sorts of boats and hanging in some pretty amazing places. The crazy thing is that I've been to NYC, Toronto, the Canary Islands and Portugal this summer but my home still beats them all. Plus Croatians are way more rude than any other nation and I'm just too used to it to socialize with the developed world. They don't get me."
"While I was in NYC we had a picnic in Long Island close to the place we were staying at. I don't really like being a tourist and didn't even bother to go see the Statue of Liberty, so I just wrapped myself in a blanket we were sitting on and turned myself into her. It was funny because at the time I was banned from the EU (I overstayed my visa and they deported me), so I wasn't feeling that 'free', to be honest."
Roland Morley-Brown
"I went back to NZ for a few weeks for some shredding and also to shoot for a Sony commercial for the release of their new Action Cam. I went jet boating, quad bike riding, canyon swinging... I also got in a couple of days of heli boarding, plus some sunset sessions up at SnowPark NZ. Fuckin' good times, man!"
Jessi Blackwell
"I was at a wedding for my uncle Nils so I called my good homie Marius Schafferer to let him know I was in the same town as him. He was like, "Yo, Jessi there's a big party tonight and I am taking you!" So I ended up borrowing some clothes and headed to the party. Everyone got super wasted amd I told all the girls I was from California so they would like me, and they did! We had the best hangover ever." Wojtek Pawlusiak
"Just been cruising the Dachstein glacier!"
