"I have been working really hard this season, training and competing, it's the best reward to be the World's top woman and overall snowboarder, then all the hard work pays off!"
That's what the World Snowboard Tour's newly crowned Overall and Slopestyle Champion, Sarka Pancochova, has to say about her recent accomplishment. The women's season ended at the Burton US Open in Vail, Colorado this past weekend where the girls competed in both Slopestyle and Halfpipe. As the TTR newsletter states "Sarka showed consistency throughout her season in both Slopestyle and Halfpipe, coming second at the X Games Slopestyle contest in Aspen. Though not many female riders compete in both Slopestyle and Halfpipe regularly, Sarka did beat competitors like second placed Enni Rukajärvi (FIN), third placed Silvia Mittemüller (GER) and last year's Champion Cilka Sadar (SLO), who came in fourth this year."
Fellow team rider Elena Hight finished 5th in the Women's Halfpipe rankings.
Big Applauds and Congratulations go out to Sarka from the entire Volcom Family. Well done Girl!
