The project came about over the course of last winter in Oslo. There was, of course, a whole lot of snow in the city for quite a long time, which attracted a ton of different teams to film as well. Speculation ran high about what spots people were hitting and what tricks were being done. The pressure was intense!
On the first day of filming, Jakob took the heaviest slam anyone had ever seen, and he has yet to strap in since. But the crew kept filming. In the beginning, it was mostly Johannes, Sebastian, and the filmer, but Liam came to stay for a couple of weeks and contributed a lot to some of the first spots he ever hit. Nick also came down for a weekend and filmed some of his own shots, which was great to have him in the video. A couple of years ago, many of the crew met Nick while riding the World Rookie Tour, and it was memorable to see Øyvind and Nick both on the podium in Livigno. Emil, too, was a joy to have around for many of the sessions. While he was busy with the Bataleon project, traveling back and forth to Lillehammer, he always made time to join the crew in Oslo to feed his street hunger.
Overall, the crew was very happy with how everything turned out. However, during filming, they were close to burnout, as spending all week behind the camera in Oslo, only to slam hard every time it was their turn to ride, was exhausting. They hope to film somewhere else this winter, but it’s hard to leave when the snow is so good.
